LANLATE ATTAINS NEW AUTONOMY


On Thursday August 27, 2020. The popular College of Education known as Lanlate College has changed its name to Oyo State College of Education.
This ammendment was done after the Oyo house State house of Assembly has Passed  the College of Education, Lanlate, Oyo State into (AMENDMENT) Bill, 2020 into Law.
The change made in the College structure which now gave a new autonomy to the College of Education was made after a presentation in the College by the Chairman o the Committee on Education , Hon Olufemi Oluwafowokanmi (Ibadan South west 10),
The bill was jointly sponsored by the Speaker, Hon Muhammed Fadeyin also by Hon Asimiyu Alarape and Hon Peter Ojedujun (Ibarapa North/Central).
According to a statement made by the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin which makes everbody understand fully that with the passage of the bill College of Education, Lanlate has attain the independent control over its own activities, Programmes, Syllabus and curriculum.
Moreso the Speaker made mention that the amendment will assist the College of Education to improve on Learning, making more inpact in the Education sector and wiil be able to undertake Activities without being controllled.
The passage of this bill as been described as a commendable feet by other sponsors.

NIGERIA TO RESUME INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE

 INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE TO RESUME IN NIGERIA ON THE 29 OF AUGUST 2020 The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, made the announcement on Monday in Abuja at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19. “We are very glad today to announce that international flights will resume from August 29, 2020,” he said. Sirika added, “However, what we have become used to – physical distancing, wearing of masks, washing of hands, temperature taking, etc will continue.” He explained that the process for the resumption of international flights in the country would be similar to that of the domestic flight resumption. According to the minister, the resumption will commence on Saturday next week at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
