BREAKING- BUHARI APPOINTS PROFESSOR ABBA ISA TIJANI AS THE NEW DG OF NCMM

 Prof Abba Isa Tijani has been appointed as the director-general of National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM). Tijani's appointment as the new NCMM DG was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari who also made the renowned academician as the agency's chief executive. A professor of museology and anthropology, Tijani is the former University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)'s head of the department of Fine Arts. He was also a former coordinating head of the department of creative arts. Abbah Tijani has been appointed as new NCMM DG by President Buhari. 
UGC Abbah, prior to his federal government appointment, was the acting director of University of Maiduguri's Centre for the Study of Cultural Sustainability (CSCS). Tijani's appointment has been described as well-deserved and a good move for the NCMM. Meanwhile, in a collective effort towards improving the electricity supply nationwide, President Buhari approved the appointment of some top members of the executive cabinet into the Special Purpose Vehicle for Presidential Power Initiate (SPVPPI). The appointment was approved by the president on Thursday, September 10, as contained in a statement from the office of the Ministry of Justice. Members of the committee include the attorney general of the federation Abubakar Malami (SAN), the minister of finance, budget, and national planning, Hajia Zainab Ahmed
