PRESIDENT BUHARI SIGNED THE NIGERIA POLICE BILL 2020 INTO LAW.

The NIgeria President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has signed the Nigeria Police Bill 2020 into law.
This information was made public by The Special Adviser to  the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adeshina on Thursday in a statement titled ''President Buhari assert to Police Bill, 2020''.
Mr Adeshina  explained that Act repealed the Police Act Cap. P19. Laws of the Federation, 2004 and provide for a more effective and well organized Police Force, driven by the principle of transparency and accountability in its operation and management of its resources.
In the statement ''Among others the Act establishes an appropiate  funding framework for the Police in line with the with what is obtainable in the other Federal Goverment key institutions, enhances professionalism in the Force through increased training opportunities, and providing enduring coopration and Partnership between the Police Force and the Communities in maintaining peace and combating crimes nationwide.''

NIGERIA TO RESUME INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE

 INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE TO RESUME IN NIGERIA ON THE 29 OF AUGUST 2020 The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, made the announcement on Monday in Abuja at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19. “We are very glad today to announce that international flights will resume from August 29, 2020,” he said. Sirika added, “However, what we have become used to – physical distancing, wearing of masks, washing of hands, temperature taking, etc will continue.” He explained that the process for the resumption of international flights in the country would be similar to that of the domestic flight resumption. According to the minister, the resumption will commence on Saturday next week at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
