After the long break of Covid-19 Institutions in Lagos State are resuming on september 14,2020. Inwhich this was made clear by the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu. On the 29th of August 2020 during the regular breifing on the State's Covid 19 Status the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Disclosed that all Tertiary Institution in Lagos State will be reopened on the 14th of September 2020 and also secondary schools in Lagos will resume on the 29th of September 2020. Also he said ‘’This decision is not cast in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modelling and what procedure comes out from the Ministry of Health.” The Governor disclosed that the decision to reopen the schools was based on indications that the pandemic has peaked in the state, as the number of new cases has been on a steady decline. On Thursday August 27, 2020. The popular College of Education known as Lanlate College has changed its name to Oyo State College of Education. This ammendment was done after the Oyo house State house of Assembly has Passed  the College of Education, Lanlate, Oyo State into (AMENDMENT) Bill, 2020 into Law. The change made in the College structure which now gave a new autonomy to the College of Education was made after a presentation in the College by the Chairman o the Committee on Education , Hon Olufemi Oluwafowokanmi (Ibadan South west 10), The bill was jointly sponsored by the Speaker, Hon Muhammed Fadeyin also by Hon Asimiyu Alarape and Hon Peter Ojedujun (Ibarapa North/Central). NIGERIA GOVERNMENT POSTPONED INTERNATIONAL AIRFLIGHT RESUMPTION

Nigerian Government has postponed the resumption of international flights earlier scheduled to commence August 29th to September 5th The Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, disclosed this at the ongoing Presidential Task Force COVID-19 briefing in Abuja. Nuhu said airlines and airports were ready to operate, other non-aviation logistics prompted the one-week extension. “We have other non-aviation logistics we are still working on, mostly the COVID-19 protocol tests and online platform,” he said. “We need to get these ready.” Nuhu described September 5 as a “sacrosanct date”, noting that “the initial announcement was anytime from the 29th.” “In due course, we will be announcing the protocols for the resumptions and we will be giving further details,” he said. “Hopefully early next week, we will release these.” Nigeria started to restrict international flights in March as part of efforts to restrict the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, on Monday, assured Nigerian students that tertiary institutions across the country will reopen very soon. Although he did not give a specific date for the re-opening, he urged the students to stop protesting. He noted they the ministry is working to articulate the situation report from the National Universities Commission, NUC, and other regulatory bodies of various tertiary institutions and present to the Presidential Task Force, PTF on COVID-19 for evaluation. A clergyman, Adebayo Bamidele, prayed a Customary Court sitting in Mapo, Ibadan to dissolve his 17-year-old marriage to his wife, Felicia on the grounds that she was ruining his calling. It seems its a new dawn for tertiary instutions in Oyo sate, after the long break of the Covid­­-19 outbreak some tertairy institution in Oyo state begins preparation for resumption. In preparation of the resumption the Polythecnic of Ibadan asked its Dean, Heads of Academic Staff from Grade Levels 11 upward to resume on Monday 24th of August 2020 This information was known by a statement signed by the school Registrar, Mrs Fawale M. T on Sunday. The statement titled 'Prepareddness for Reopening of the Polythehcnic Ibadan' also the release stated that members on essential duties to resume and others whom services may be needed can be called anytime. The concerned staff for the initial resupmtion are told to wear face mask, use sanitizers/wash hands regularly and maintain  a perfect social distancing as per the rules lay down by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC). Suspected serial killer, Sunday Shodipe who is 19 year old escaped from the police custody after is first arrest.  The suspeted man behind the killings and rape of women in Akinyele area in ibadan escaped on August 11, 2020 after his first arrest when a new divisional police officer allowed  an officer he identified as Funsho to allow him to have his bath, whereas the smart killer took the chance to escape by jumping over the bathroom fence. Later on sunday August 22, 2020, The State Commissioner of Police Enwonwu Nwachukwu confirmed that the suspected serial killer who escaped is now in the police custody. A big thanks to the Nigeria police force for the unending effort.  INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE TO RESUME IN NIGERIA ON THE 29 OF AUGUST 2020 The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, made the announcement on Monday in Abuja at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19. “We are very glad today to announce that international flights will resume from August 29, 2020,” he said. Sirika added, “However, what we have become used to – physical distancing, wearing of masks, washing of hands, temperature taking, etc will continue.” He explained that the process for the resumption of international flights in the country would be similar to that of the domestic flight resumption.
