Nigerian Government has postponed the resumption of international flights earlier scheduled to commence August 29th to September 5th The Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, disclosed this at the ongoing Presidential Task Force COVID-19 briefing in Abuja. The Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, on Monday, assured Nigerian students that tertiary institutions across the country will reopen very soon. Although he did not give a specific date for the re-opening, he urged the students to stop protesting. He noted they the ministry is working to articulate the situation report from the National Universities Commission, NUC, and other regulatory bodies of various tertiary institutions and present to the Presidential Task Force, PTF on COVID-19 for evaluation. In preparation of the resumption the Polythecnic of Ibadan asked its Dean, Heads of Academic Staff from Grade Levels 11 upward to resume on Monday 24th of August 2020 This information was known by a statement signed by the school Registrar, Mrs Fawale M.
